David Goldsteen, M.D., MBA, Chairman & CEO

Dr. Goldsteen is the co-founder of VigiLanz, and serves as Chairman and CEO. He is a founder and former Chairman and CEO of Vascular Science, Inc., purchased by St. Jude Medical (NASDAQ:STJ). He is the founder and Managing Partner of Global Capital Investments, LLC, a boutique merchant banking group. He previously served as a board member/financier of SurVivaLink, a medical device manufacturer sold to Cardiac Science (NASDAQ:DFIB), MediaDVX, a digital media provider sold to NetStar LP, InfoPet, a veterinary microchipping company, and Quantech, Ltd, a medical diagnostics company. From 1988-1993 he served as Vice President of Medical Affairs for Emergency Services at Health One, a predecessor of Allina Hospitals and Clinics, a diversified health care delivery organization. Dr. Goldsteen is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School, performing his residency in Internal Medicine at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. He received board certifications in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine. He received his M.B.A. in 1994 from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.

David Klass, M.D., Medical Advisor

Dr. Klass is the inventor of VigiLanz’ core technology and served as Chief Medical Officer from the company’s founding in 2001 through his retirement in 2014. Dr. Klass currently serves as a medical advisor to the company. He has had a long-term interest in the logic of pharmacy ordering systems and the relation of these systems to laboratory results and the creation of tools that could mine and combine both systems intelligently. Dr. Klass graduated from the University of Manitoba and the University of Chicago. He lives in Spain and Chicago.

Adam Klass, MPH, Chief Technology Officer

Adam is responsible for architecting, developing and project managing the company’s many large-scale data driven applications from inception to completion. Most recently, he led the development of VigiLanz’ Enterprise Intelligence Resources (EIR) platform, which incorporates services-oriented architecture (SOA) and open application programming interface capability (API) to aggregate and interact with disparate data throughout the healthcare enterprise and any of its software services. Adam has strong expertise in the Microsoft platform and several relational database and reporting systems. Prior to joining VigiLanz, Adam held technical positions with Software Architects, DaVinci Software and Red Sky Technologies. He holds a B.A in political science from the University of Kansas, as well as an M.A in Public Administration from the University of Illinois in Chicago.

He has a strong track record for achieving significant growth and delivering effective healthcare information technology solutions to customers that improve patient care and operational performance. Prior to joining VigiLanz, he led the sales and operations activities for a medical imaging firm, driving growth from early-stage to nearly $100 million in annual revenues. Steve holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Minnesota, with a concentration in Chemistry and Business.

Craig has extensive experience in systems design and relational data model design. She oversees all client implementation projects, user readiness and ongoing client custom requirements requests. She has extensive experience helping build operational capacity and discipline at several early-stage organizations and has held operations management and leadership roles at FORTUNE 500 firms doing business in the airline and telecommunications sectors. Liz obtained an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and an MBA in Operations Management, both from DePaul University.

Stacy has an extensive clinical background with numerous certifications in epidemiology, infection control, bio-preparedness and intensive care. She acquired her BSN from North Park College and the University of Illinois and has completed graduate work towards an M.S. degree at Rush University. Stacy has presented nationally and published extensively for her contributions to research in the areas of nosocomial outbreaks, antibiotic resistance, bio-preparedness and infection control.
